SEAL BEACH, Calif. — March 20, 2026 — Local Harvest Farmers Markets is proud to announce the opening of a brand-new farmers market on the Seal Beach Pier. Beginning Friday, March 20, the market will take place every Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Set where the beautiful Pacific Ocean meets Seal Beach’s charming Main Street—a walkable destination filled with thriving local businesses, restaurants and shops—the Seal Beach Pier Farmers Market offers a unique and relaxing shopping experience. Visitors can stroll along the pier while enjoying live music, fresh farm produce, artisan-prepared foods, hot takeaway foods and refreshments, handmade goods from local crafters, and even bakery goods and frozen yogurt made especially for dogs.

The Friday market adds another reason to spend time in the heart of Seal Beach, giving residents and visitors an opportunity to combine a morning by the ocean with shopping, dining and exploring the independent businesses that make Main Street special.

The market is being developed in collaboration with the Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Seal Beach Lions Club, strengthening its connection to the local business community and the organizations that serve Seal Beach residents.

The new market is operated by Lee Oostendorf, a longtime farmers market organizer who has served local communities for decades. Lee currently operates six farmers markets throughout the region and guided her markets through the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, helping preserve access to fresh food and maintain vital connections between local farmers, small businesses and the communities they serve.

The Seal Beach market represents a meaningful return for Lee, who has maintained a long-standing relationship with the city and its residents. The project has also been championed by the owner of Main Street Mercantile, who has worked closely with the community for years to help bring a farmers market back to Seal Beach.

For many years, residents and local businesses have expressed their desire for a regular farmers market in the community. That enthusiasm has been met with an overwhelmingly positive response from Seal Beach neighbors and the business community.

“We’re thrilled to finally bring a farmers market to the Seal Beach Pier,” said Lee Oostendorf. “Seal Beach has such a strong sense of community, and we’re excited to create a place where residents and visitors can shop locally, support small businesses, listen to live music and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the pier.”

The market will provide a welcoming Friday destination for residents, visitors and their four-legged companions while supporting local agriculture, small businesses and regional makers.

The Seal Beach Pier Farmers Market will be held every Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Seal Beach Pier.
